But my guild uses Vent so i need to have both programs running at the same time. When i run WoW without Vent, it works really nice. Ventrilo still works fine, people can hear me and i can hear them. But when i try to run them together World of Warcraft just freezes. When i run those 2 things separately they work very fine. Thanks to the tech guys in support who suggested what to do.I decided to register because i cant solve the problem with a game and speaking program from the topic. Recommendation is 9600GT but that is obsolete so have put a GT610 in. I had a GeForce 6150 and have upgraded it. I will confirm how I get on to see if it sorts out the problem. Should at least make WOT better if it does not cure the problem.
My computer is just an office computer rather than a gaming one so this may be a low grade GPU and so it is a fair guess. I have just ordered a new, higher spec driver and will pop that on next week. Latest idea is that it is my Graphics hardware that is not up to the job (GPU). Seems to be a problem that an unknown number of us have but no solution that works seems to have been found. Did all this and it still is making no difference. Tried all ways to turn off my firewall settings. Surely it should be that it installs itself in a way that the computer can deal with it? I don't play around with my computer to get other games or apps to work. I have had the problem for two weeks and try to sort it and presently have second ticket in awaiting a response. Done all the tec guys told me to and still makes no difference. I tried loading it on another computer and that one is exactly the same too.
